• Q1: How do I become a member of MOE Sports and Recreation Club?
  • MOE personnel in MOE HQ and schools (teaching and non-teaching staff) whose payroll is under Ministry of Education automatically become a member of the club as they join the service.
• Q2: Do I have to pay any subscription fee or membership fee?
  • No, members are not required to pay any subscription or membership fee, unless you are a retiree or a corporate member. The club is funded by the Ministry of Education as part of the Staff wellbeing for its employees.
• Q3. What are the benefits of being a MESRC member?
  • MESRC members can use of the facilities at MOE HQ building, Evans clubhouse, and CCAB sports facilities* without paying a fee. Members can enjoy activities and events organised at a subsidized rate.
    * The CCAB sports facilities can only be used after 6pmduring weekdays for the selected days and times. Booking is required. Please contact our booking officer at 64680305.
• Q4.What are facilities that I can use?
  • HQ Clubhouse: Lounge, KTV Rooms, Gymnasium, Billiard Room, TV Room, Table Tennis Room, and Games Room.
    Evans Clubhouse: Lounge, KTV Room, Fitness Room, BBQ Pits, and Pool Room.
• Q5. Where are the clubhouses located at?
  • MOE HQ clubhouse: 1 North Buona Vista Drive, level 5 Singapore 138675 (MOE HQ Building)
    Evans Clubhouse: 21 Evans Road Singapore 259366 (Co-Curricular Activities Branch building)

• Q7. I am a school staff. Can I use the facilities at MOE HQ building?
  • Yes, all staff in schools (teaching and non-teaching staff) can use the facilities at MOE HQ clubhouse as well as the ones at the Evans clubhouse.
• Q8. Am I allowed to bring my family members or friends when I use the facilities?
  • Yes, each member is allowed to bring in 4 guests, except to the Gymnasium at HQ clubhouse and Fitness Room at Evans clubhouse. Guests must be accompanied by the member at all time.
• Q9. Can I book the facilities for my personal function?
  • Yes, the lounge, KTV Room, and the B.B.Q. pits at Evans Clubhouse can be booked for a private function. The facilities at HQ Clubhouse cannot be booked for a private function.
• Q10. Is there a booking fee for a private booking
  • Yes.
    * KTV Room: $15 per hr/a minimum of 2 hrs required
    * Evans Lounge: $50 per 4hr-block (9am -1pm, 2pm – 6pm & 6pm – 10pm)
    * BBQ Pits: $5 per 4hr-block (9am -1pm, 2pm – 6pm & 6pm – 10pm)
    * Each booking requires a refundable deposit of $20 submitted in a cheque.
    
• Q11. How do I cater food and drinks for my function?
  • The Sally’s Corner is the in-house caterer for MESRC. All food & drinks must be catered by the in-house caterer, unless the caterer is unable to meet your requirement/s. Sally’s Corner can be contacted at 68731201.
• Q12. Can I organise a school/divisional function at MESRC facilities?
  • Yes, the Lounge, KTV room, and BBQ pits* can be booked exclusively for a function.
    Booking must be made at the MESRC admin office at HQ and Evans respectively prior to the event. No booking fee is charged for official functions held at the MESRC facilities.
    * BBQ pits are located at Evans Clubhouse only.
